Hello,
i've spent a significant amount of time searching for answers - some of what i've found i mention below my question:
i would simply like to know if a programmer can use IE 6.0 to render/interpret pages, then interact through IE 6 as a user, retrieving pages, having them interpreted, process data from these pages, and carry on following links, executing code for following 'Javascript links' just as IE does - but have all this interaction through a program.
i've been misdirected throughout microsoft.com, searched easily 50-100 other pages/sites, thought of other approaches (LWP modules for Perl), HTTPUnit (born of the XP programming methodology), found speech about 'Browser Helper Objects' (only for IE4.0?), thought about using IE 5.02 for MAC OS X because of it's accessibility compliance according to w3c reports, come accross some fairly new information about an MS 'Active Accessibility SDK/Doc' ... so much just to know whether IE can be accessed by a program as i described, but nowhere can i find this question addressed directly.
thanks for reading, Sincerely,
chris
