Inserting fonts in HTML

Does anybody know if it is possible to insert fonts in an HTML page??

Instead of having images (as GIF or JPEG), I have fonts with font number and font name.

Do I need to convert the font to images first? What software can I use for this?

visit Rediff Hindi Edition (http://www.rediff.com/hindi/index.html) and view their source code... use some leacher/Save page using IE to get the other files...

They use fonts to achieve that trick...
