.Net Runtime For Linux

Greetings :) :

Well can anyone guide me, that how can I run a .Net Application on Linux, Mac OS or any other platform other than Microsoft. I know that I will be needing a .Net runtime, but where to find this runtime for Linux & how to setup this on the target platform. Please Refer me any any links that U know.
