Does anyone know how to see if a user has blocked me on MSN Messenger? Is it possible to do this without using a third MSN account?

No ! I dont think it is possible!
Not unless you have the entire MSN Database at your disposal!

Pooh! Thanks Cakkie, Regreted posting that after some time...

Anyway, The answer is No! (to drewdog_21). MSN (or any service I know of...) does not let any one know if they have been blocked as it constitutes the personal data of the other user(the one who has blocked you!)...And according their privacy policy, they are helpless...

There are lots of sites that let you check if someone has blocked you.

and lots more. Do some searches and test them out.

there are also msn addons you can get that will go through your list and highlight which people have blocked you.

I knew of one such messanger app that was written in vb6. not sure if it still works, but I haven't tested for a few years

Triople checks whether a specific Windows Live Messenger / MSN Messenger user is online or offline.

Triople does not return all the users blocking the account entered!


This is how they all work. You see that someone is "off-line", you wonder if you are blocked. You use one of these sites (which often but not always use illegal phantom accounts) which checks if the user is available to that account.

Any reasonably intelligent person KNOWS to pre-block all of these sites.
