If Linux-server provides FTP service U can put any files with some FTP-client.
U can ask your admin to create login for U on the Linux-server (or by any free login) and then use TELNET-client for remote aceess to the server. By this way then admin can provides possibility to mount any remote disk for U when U've login.
Any way is SAMBA, to provide way to work with remote linux-shared disks from any win-machine.
