Hi,
I want to develop a module which keeps collecting data from a tool using functions exported by a DLL. This data collection shud happen continuously and in regular intervals.So i've planned to develop this module as a service. But this module(the service) shud also respond to the requests from the web pages(from ASP) and collect the data using the DLL and post the results back to the web page. will developing this service as an "ATL COM component service" serve the purpose?? If so, can someone guide me as to how i shud proceed with this.As i'm pretty new to COM and ATL, I wud like as much help from u as possible.
