Active-X Controls in XP

Hi,

I have a clean machine with XP operating system.Intitially none of the Active-X

controls(Even the calender control)
are displayed in Internet Explorer.
But after I have installed M.S. Office in the machine,the Active-X controls are displayed

automatically.
I need to know,why this happened as I am packaging some controls with my product and none

of them are displayed in internet Explorer on a clean XP machine.
