Well sorry for an offtopic.
But does anybody else have that problem? I can't sleep - I always try to solve some kind of an unexisted problem in my "dreams". I wake up in a cold sweat, and the only thing that I can do is open the window and turn on my computer and try to do something in C++\C\C#\JAVA\SPHERE ....
If nothing works I just go to bed and have the same thing over and over again... If I get something to work (without know what is it).
I wake up with big blue bags under my eyes - I don't get enough sleep. My window is wide open - I KNOW I didn't sleep at night. But I can't find any code. I knew I did something - I made something - but there's no trace of that.
Does anybody know what's happening to me? I started to learn C\C++ on my own about a year ago, and now I am developing a game server in C#, and take unnoficial Java classes at my college. This is really starting to bother me. Do you think I should see a doctor? Pills? Somebody help...

first of all what i would recommend is either get a girlfriend, or do some sports that u like, or just get some beers..that will calm u:)
i'm sure if u try either of the3 methods you'll see the rewards, especially in the case with a girlfriend on your head :) :) :)

I recommand also Yoga (Hatha yoga, o.k. ?) or some other meditation techniques.

A girlfirend is'nt a really good idea:
She disturbs you when she wants, she is over all time consuming and, most neccessary, she is not forcing you to sleep at night. Instead of dreaming about C++ you will begin to dream about children, how to feed them, dancing and health-oriented food. Several beers each evening by the way are much more effective, also in a long-term-meaning: slowly and even having fun doing this, you switch off your brain until it is just good enough to breathe. Done that often enough, you loose the risk of turning the brain on again: it got lost. If you reached that level, the whole world will be easy for you. There might be other ways to reach that. But most of them use illegal drugs. Ask your dealer at the train-station how to get them.
Doing sports is ineffective: doing this every day, you will train your body, and the daily dosis you need will rise. Also your life will be longer and so you will have even more nights to dream. This is not what you want. Additionally, if you do a lot of sports, you will have problems getting rid of someone calling herself being your girlfriend. So you will have double trouble.

Try opening
Microsoft® Windows ® instead of your Room's Window that will most certainly help :).

This thread could easily state for an experiment : how a totally off-topic can become so "populare" when it is rated with 5 stars.

Thanx everybody! Especialy Marc from D, it was very funny :)
But:
1. I have a lack of time - I'm taking 20 credits at college, and girlfriend is just not an option, as well as sports.
2. A beer is a problem too. I hate it! It tastes like crap, and makes me wanna puke. Everybody says it's cuz I am 15 and I just need some time... Is that true? Well honestly about a year ago when I drank 2 bottles of bear and got knocked off by them - i got the best sleep I ever had - about 12 hours... but I had to puke all over the house the next day :)
3. Drug Delaer at my train station is not an option since I don't have any train stations here
4. Coke? U think it's gonna help?
5. I open Microsoft Windows as well as my WIndows. For some reason Linux scares me..
any ideas? Well tonight I had an average sleep. I have bags under my eyes, but at about 4 o'clock at night I woke up to take a crap, and I fell asleep pretty fast then..

You should take computers with more calm, like a hobbie.
And you should think in the most important things in life!

My advice is garlic, crosses and bright lights. It is common knowledge that C++ is afraid of these things. Have lots of mirrors around as detectors because C++ will not show up in mirrors..
A wooden stake through your CPU may be the ultimate solution.

I had this kind of thing too until i realised that nothing in life matters except of people. The rest can go to **** if it needs to.
This has solved my problems right there and then.
If you ever went to a party or out hiking or outdoor activities, you will recall that one soon forgets all the source code, rectangular windows and monitors and starts thinking more like a human :D
So in short, grab a beer, call a pal, and get the **** OUT OF THERE to the street/woods ! :D

Looks like it is a sleeping disorder. You didn't get to sleep very well; You never drifted into deep sleep. Go see doctor. It is important that you sleep so that you will not get blue eyes. If it continues, you are going to get permanent Panda eyes.

Silver Ghost: I would suggest you get away from computers for a week. While you are away, please do not think of programming, like how to go about implementing those cool stuff in your latest upcoming program, and so on. Just relax.
1 solution is to exercise. A few months ago, I had Insomnia. I went to see doctor. That doctor said I was totally alright after checkup, it is just that I lacked of exercise (to let my brain function properly). He didn't even give me any medicine. True enough, I get to sleep better after exercising regularly.
Another solution is to get a girlfriend. Getting girlfriend also helps to prevent you from becoming a total computer nerd.

Rubbish! There's no such things as girlfriends curing your problems and preventing you from becoming a maxiumum nerd.
This particular issue is mentioned in my latest book, entitled "All about Gurls", Volume 71, Chapter 34, page 2261, paragraph 6, line 84.
What you need, Silver Ghost.....is a saint who can relieve you from your problems. Saint Xeon, they call me.
Anyway, the thing is u gotta get a pet. A dog, probably. This can really help things, mind you.
The truth is : if you've get a girlfriend just to solve your problems, then u really are a jerk. U're gonna end up hurting her, becuase as mentioned in my other book entitled "Problems & Gurls", love is more complicated than rocket science, advanced level. So, please.
Gurls are best for making you live longer, trust me.(**x)
Have a cute pet, care for it and such.
The other thing is nature. Go admire the sunsets, make more friends and get engaged with others and stuff.
And also, try not to hanker after fame or knowledge whatsoever.
If you ain't after knowledge or fame, your mind wouldn't be behaving like that.
Allow knowledge to be on it's natural course and not pervert it's course and path through which it travels. Relax.
Another method which is very powerful is to get engrossed in ummm.....human scientific reproduction. Ummm.......I don't wanna say the stuff out cos' I will get banned if I do......but since you're a man and a teenager, I believe you know what I mean.
Be creative and try all kinda acts in all kinda interesting places with interesting gurls and such.
It has been proven time and time again that such acts will really help you cure lots of illnesses and such. Trust me.(this is mentioned in my latest book entitled "Gurls & the Secrets to living longer."
As a last resort, go see a psychologist.

Hmmm......you're very warmly welcomed. And I hope the 'saint' mentioned refers to me. Saint Xeon.......sounds real handsome and cool! :D:D:D
5 - 6 hours per day? Well, it depends. I had suggest u go get more sleep whenever you can, cos' if you sleep very late at night, or if your sleeping hours are darns short, your body can get pretty heaty and you can fall sick real often.
But then, this varies from people to people.
If you can, I would suggest you go move near to the window side of your house and lie a mattress there or mini-bed. Then, lie down and dream. Dream about anything : nude gurls, getting rich, having power, and all sortta dreams. They can make you feel better, I promise. It helps you to relax. :)
Once, there's an article of a guy who knows 20 programming languages and he's some sortta researcher, if I'm not wrong.
And guess what? This guy only sleeps 3 hours a day!!!!!!
He's a genius!
But the thing is we're not. So, we gotta care for our body and health, and the thing is : if your health is poor, you can forget C++ and stuff, and think of how to pay your medical bills and such.:cool::cool::cool:

1. I've read an article about some indian monk who doesn't sleep at all. He's like 50 years old. Oh well I aint no monk.
2. About the powa... Trust me I have it. And in a very interesting way. I help a lot of people in college for free - with Java, C++ and stuff like that, and I get a lot of appreciation, like being called "masta" and "yo da man"
3. Yes, Saint refers to you Xeon. Although, I belive "Overlord"'d fit u more.

Nah, Silver! Seriously, I'm still waiting to be knighted.
When I'm knighted, I will become Sir Xeon.
Darn cool!
And when I'm Sir Xeon, I'm gonna do lottsa good deeds and when I die, I'll become Saint Xeon, and may a church be built in my name to bless all of mankind.
When I reached the Heavens and be with God, I'll do my most to serve Him and do all the good deeds and even transcend all things mundane.
Then, I'll become Seraphi Xeon. :):);)
