It's Pinky and the RAM, it's Pinky and the RAM, it's Pinky and the RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM, RAM!!!!!!
Now, suppose I wanna add RAM to my PC.
The thing is : how am I suppose to know which type of RAM is compatible and insertable into my motherboard?
I know there's only a few types of RAM, namely EDO, DDRAM, RDRAM and SDRAM.
But even between these few types, each type seems to be further sub-divided into a few kinds.
U see, my friend gave me a piece of RAM, but strange to say, that piece he gave me was so small compared to the RAM in my computer! So, this leads me to think that there's lots of types of RAM, and RAM types like SDRAM is probably divided into small size, medium size, large size etc......
Help, someone! Please and thanks! :):):D:)

I have seen mainly two types of RAM (here judging by the slots). One has the name DIMMs and the other SIMMs. Not quite like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum but looking carefully at them, one looks like a 16 Bit thing and the other a 32 Bit ;)

Hmmm.......DIMMs and SIMMs.....I've heard of them. So, do u know which type is the big one and which is the small one?
Also, is it true that any kinds of RAM(SDRAM, EDO, RDRAM) can fit on any kinda motherboards? Thanks!
Here, I would like to congratulate Platinum Plus pal(PPP) for posting his first message, which is non-crap!
We're all happy for you, Platinum! Whoa!

Platinum, yes, who got his avatar the "Brain" from Xeon. Is this a cover up for you being one person?
Here, I would like to congratulate Platinum Plus pal(PPP) for posting his first message, which is non-crap! By your standards maybe. " Not quite like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum but looking carefully at them, one looks like a 16 Bit thing and the other a 32 Bit", this is completely nonsense sentence by everybody who DOES have a brain.

Off-topic post, Simon! This is getting darn serious and you're polluting my threads!
Oh Brad! Please ban this guy over here, Brad! 2 months or more would be great! I'm sick of this and here he is!
Simon, Simon.........Platinum and I seems to be the same cos' we're both alike, see? He's one of those guys whom I really like in this forum, including Amn and FieryTycoon.
I'm not a gay, but they're the rare ones whom I get along with real well in Codeguru.
The others are all more serious, like Gabriel and Elrond. Now, these guys are the big boys, and because of our age gap, we don't tend to hit off very well.
But folks like Fiery pal, Platinum, Amn and a couple of others are real darn cool.
Thank you for driving my total number of posts, Simon.
See you next month or so, cos' u'll be banned. Good day.

OK, OK, I'll take you on your word. But read my arguments once too in the other thread. I had good reasons to believe so.

We are better off having Simon here than having him banned and not knowing where he is and what he is up to :( Maybe he has your IP address by now and as they say ..." An idle mind ...."
