Fustrated with ComboBox!!

I am trying to extract the text from a dialog box created within Internet Explorer. The class name is "Internet Explorer_TridentCmboBx" . I've tried everything from various sendmessages, to getwindowtext, etc., etc., all to no avail. All I get back is 3 to 4 garbled data bytes.

Any ideas?
