Okay, this forum is here because I wanted it.
Last night while watching Big Brother on TV, I started working on a legendary "Tic Tac Toe" game (you know the same type that everyone creates in that 101 programming class). As such, I thought I'd open this forum to see if there was any interest in doing a group game project. (obviously something a little more complex than Tic Tac Toe :).

I'd be interested in contributing to such a project, but I'm not a C# programmer. I'll admit I know very little about C# and you might have to excuse me asking a simple question, but Why was C# chosen??

I chose C# because that is what I was working on last night. I was actually working on the Tic Tac Toe project to add it to the next edition of my book -- Sams Teach Yourself C# in 21 Days.
If you've done C++ or Java, then you'll find C# is not a stretch. If a group want to pick up a project with a different language, I can add an additional project forum for that languages.
Note that doing a game with C# would not be all that different from doing it with VB .NET. I suggest that any projects that a group may create in C# be converted to VB .NET in the end just to show how easy it is to switch.

Hi Brad,
Your thought about opening a new forum for C# games
is quite commendable since it encourages us to program
in the new language.
But you have not given any provided any information
on how to post the code(some thing like a repository)
and how to maintain progress about the project(some notes)
and the members involved and their access.
In short how is the colloborative effort to be maintained ?

I like your idea....
But prem_gali is right... you will need a system like SourceForge to make this work...
