prompt for font download

Okay I am trying to get help on my webpage i want it to check a users computer to see if it has a specific font the page uses if not prompt users to download and install the font. would also be nice if it could know if user is windows or mac. Anyway could someone help me if its a javascript or actionscript send examples or site url's
