new to .net, help to retrieve system info

hi gurus,

I am new to .net development.

I want to retrieve the system information
like h/w config/processor info/ s/w installed
from a system .

How can I do this task.
can any body tell me about any namespaces/classes/functions to
perform this system information related query.

I read the "syste inventory" topic in Visual studio .NET combined collection .This tells something about these information but did not mentioned the method to retrieve them.
