Hello,
I will be using the USB port (either on a PC or on a PDA
like the PocketPC) to communicate with an RS232 serial
device. I know I will need a USB-serial converters. Can someone
answer these questions for me please:
1. Any recommended USB-Serial converters?
2. How do I deal with the USB port using VC++? Does the
MSComm control allow me to do that? Are there any C++
classes/libraries that can help me with that?
3. How do I deal with the USB port using EVC++? is their
and equivalent MSComm control for windows CE that I
can use in EVC++?
I am not sure if it as simple as openning the USB port and
writing serial commands to it (the USB-serial converter takes
care of the rest?)
Anyone with any tips, no matter how small, please post.
Thanks, J.
