I was laid off recently because the company wanted to show a profit for 2000. While my position was that of Game Programmer, I'm not really looking for work as a game developer. I would prefer a tools development position and/or one that will leverage my considerable VB knowledge and experience while giving me the opportunity to improve my C++ skills and other areas of technical expertise.

My resume can be found at http://www.southern.eskimo.net/dodger/resume.shawn.html

Thank you,

- Shawn

Shawn, would you re-locate to New York City?

I am the co-founder of Touchbridge Systems LLC.Touchbridge has developed a software platform that integrates a number of
highly valued, disparate functions via a seamless, patent pending interface
and presented via a proprietary flat panel display. We have created a
complementary technology center for deployment throughout as many rooms of
the home as the end user wishes. Sales will be driven by our unique
relationship with certified sales and installation experts. All applications
of Multimedia, Information and communication are accessible via voice, touch
and wireless keyboard. We are interested on hiring seasoned programmers/upper level software managers with VB experience and a knowledge of the windows API's. We are incredibly rich in the
multi-media area.

Any interest? We are well funded.

Shawn, you must have knowledge of the Windows multimedia API. If so, can you answer this questions:

Which window api should I use to do this:

"How do I get an avi file to play on a form so that the background of the avi file is transparent and you can see the forms graphic through the background."
