... then you are wrong here, but I can offer you a lot of fun. I want to convert the german board game Hotel to a computer game. I'll start by telling a little bit about the board game.
Hotel is a strongly modified Monopoly game. You build hotels on different grounds, but not every ground has space for the same number of hotels.
And what do you need to do? Well, you have to program the network code or you need to bind the graphics into the game or so. YOU DON'T EARN A THING, because this isn't a commercial project. What kind of qualification do you need?
C++ or C is a must, OpenGL or Direct3D too. Further on you need a lot of patience and a sense for teamwork.
What can I offer you? This project is supposed to be fun. You can learn new skills from other people working on this project, we work in a small team (something like 4 or 5 people) and if we do a good job, well why not try to sell the program?
