.Net Driver Wanted

As the VW add says, there are passengers and there are drivers. I am
working with the .NET Tools & Services team at Microsoft to recruit a
great driver to join the team as a Technical Product Manager, to help
deliver the next generation of Visual C++ and C# to over 1.2 million
customers. We need a truly great product manager to create and implement
classic technical marketing aspects of the existing Visual C++ business,
while also working in tandem with the tools product marketing team to help
launch Visual Studio.NET.

What are we looking for? Good communication skills -- the person in this
roll needs to effectively interact with customers and internal groups, and
combine this with leadership and teamwork. It also requires a strong
passion for technology, a heavy focus on technical product marketing,
project management, and product planning. While owning all of the classic
technical marketing aspects of the existing Visual C++ business, the
candidate will work in tandem with Visual C++ and C# program management and
the tools product marketing team to help launch Visual Studio.NET.

Other qualifications include strong strategic thinking, inter-departmental
team building, and deep experience with Microsoft development technologies
(including exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Developer Network
(MSDN), Microsoft BackOffice Server and Windows 2000). Knowledge of Visual
C++ development and Web development technologies is a must.

We need a creative thinker who can drive new and innovative additions to
corporate developer offerings. A BA/BS degree in a technical field of
study is required. 2+ years of post-baccalaureate experience required.
