Email/Fax Gateway

I have a need for an application that will monitor an email address for inbound emails. When one arrives, take the attached images and fax them into our fax platform. After our platform processes the received fax it will in turn deliver a fax back which needs to be emailed back to the original address that delivered the images.

Sorry for the delayed post, but there is a product called Rightfax which can provide this functionality. The core enterprise product has an add-on called e-mail gateway, which synchronizes with you mail system (exchange, notes, etc..), delivers e-mails, and can respond accordingly. By sending a e-mail to the gateway with the phone number in the email, the fax server will send out the attachment and body as a fax document. The email to field looks like this

name@1-222-222-2222@Rightfax

This is all you need, and the rightfax domain (@Rightfax) will fax you document. The server also can route inbound faxes into the email system.
