Job Summary:
A leading supplier of control network products and services that address the needs of the building, industrial, transportation, home, and other markets is looking for a Product Application Engineer. Responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales support for this companies software and hardware products. Duplicates customer problems and recommends solutions to customer application questions. Works with marketing and engineering to enhance design, reliability, and maintenance features of existing products. Helps conduct technical training courses for customers and/or employees instructing participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Works with technical training staff, marketing, and engineering, to ensure that course material reflects current product features. Aids technical training staff in course development including laboratory experiments and course material.
Education/Experience:
BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 1 or more years experience in developing and troubleshooting network software and hardware applications.
Experience with C, Visual C++, and Windows programming is required.
Experience with Visual Basic, Delphi, or any ActiveX compatible Rapid Application Development (RAD) programming environment is preferred.
Candidates with industry experience in embedded controller design and programming, and/or building automation will be highly favored.
Skills:
Good communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work with minimal direction is also required.
