Hi,

Does anyone know why only a few of the fonts installed on a system (Win2K) are displayed in the font list in Display Properties/Appearance tab?
How does windows determine which fonts are displayed in this list?

Thanks

Pini

The only two possible answers that i can think of are that your 'Display Propperties' file 'desk.cpl' is corrups or that some of your fonts are corrupted. If you have more tabs than the usual 'Background,Screen Saver,Apperance,Web,Effects,Settings' tabs the it is possible that your video cards driver is responsible. you should get the new drivers from the web. if this is no help post again.

I don't think there's something wrong with my display control panel since it looks normal and works properly except for the fonts issue.
Also, I think the fonts are OK since they work properly in applications. I only get 5 fonts in the list where I have dozens of fonts in my system.

Ok are any of the fonts TrueType fonts?

I could send you my display properties file that might fix the prob.

Sure, many of them are TrueType fonts.
Please send over the desk.cpl file although I doubt it will help.

Thanks
