Hi, I want to use smartcard to allow user to logon into LAN (with Win 2k). Moreover i would like to use smart card to store user data. For do it, i will use a smartcard with critpo coprocessor (from ipm i think), and i would like to use cripto api. Is anyone that have any experience in this? Which is the best writer/reader of smartcard that can i use?

I spent about a year and a half using the Towitoko smart card readers. They provide an API with a toolkit.

The entire experience was good. I never called tech support once and got everything working in a couple of days. There's no encryption, though, you have to do that yourself.

As far as the encryption, I'd use the Microsoft CryptoAPI. I have an article that will appear on www.sourcedna.com in a couple of days and on www.developer.com in a week or so.
