how to solve this dual-boot problem ?

i'm currently using dual-boot system of Win98 And Win2000 professional. however, i have decided to shift to Win2000, ans i have few questions as the following :

1) Win98 is rooted at Primary Master while Win2000 is installed on Primary Slave. They're in different hard drives, so, wht should i do to erase the win98 without causing any potential failure ?

2) Whenever the machine is running on Win2000, it fails to restart itself - which means i have to press that button on my casing. what could be the possible reason for this, as i do not have this problem while running Win98 on the same machine. Is there anything to do with the Master & Slave ?

any sugestions & hints are welcome, thanx.

Can you give more details on ur setup?
Did you put boot.ini and .sys files on the windows 98 c: drive?
If yes, what notation did u use to refer to the 2nd hard disk in the boot.ini file?

I have the same setup at home, infact the NT hard disk is SCSI one, I spent more than a week to dual boot my machine.

What you need is Partition Magic and Boot magic,
win2k needs to be inside the first 2G of your primary partition, well it needs to start inside it anway!

You can download these programs. if you need a ome no then give a mail to someone who has these programs already!!

I used both these programs to setup win2k and winnt on my machine
