I have a NFR version of SQL 6.0 that was on my NFR version of NT Small Business Server. I have now upgraded to Windows 2000. Can I use SQL 6.0 with W2K?
MS advises only 6.5 with a patch.

I think you could give it a shot. You might find that more advanced features of SQL 6.0 don't work or something like that. I bet they recommend that you use 6.5 with the patch cuz that's what they tested. I doubt Microsoft went back and tested every flavor of SQL they've shipped on it.
If you put that sort of a requirement on a software company, I don't think anybody would ship past verion 3 or 4 of anything. ;-)
