I have been trying to find some information on the Novell Client for Windows 2000 Professional. Client in considering implmenting Windows 2000 Professional into a (mostly) Novell environment and I want to be able to tell them what it does and does not support. I understand that the client that ships with Win2k is version 4.5 and the latest is 4.7, however I have been unable to find a simple white paper.

You're right. Windows 2000 Setup upgrades all Intel-based computers running version 4.7
or earlier of a Novell client to version 4.51. I installed it here in my office, though, and had absolutely no problems.

You can get a copy of the latest client by going to Novell’s Web site at support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/download?sr&/pub/updates/betasup/bncnt5/nt5clt3.exe.

The file is 5,150,946 bytes long, so it may take a while to download, depending on the speed of your connection.

To install the client, right-click My Network Places and select Properties. When the Network And Dial-up Connections property sheet appears, right-click Local Area Connections, select Properties, and the Properties sheet for your LAN configuration will appear.

Hope this helps. Let us know anything else you find out.
