How can I install Microsoft Intellimouse explorer under Win2K and to have a possibility to use all additional buttons? Now the intellipoint 3.0 software is not working under W2k.

Go to the Setup directory on the CD, and start the installation
with the Win2000 parameter like so: Setup.exe win2000

Hope it helps

Windows 2000 will automatically install the built-in drivers for a USB IntelliMouse Explorer. Internet Explorer is already preconfigured to use the extra buttons. Another answer in this thread explains how to install manually the extra software on the CD.

I still can't seem to get the software to install. It gives me an error message that says that it didn't detect Win95, 98, or NT 4.0 or higher. Does anyone have anymore suggestions?

Get IntelliPoint 3.1 from MS site. This will install on Win2K

Is this in the MS Hardware Compatibility List yet?
