Articles on different strategies for forcing a user to register via email, etc. that only allows them access to your Web pages if they fill out the form and choose a password.
I know there are many ways to do it, but I have not found a good series of articles yet, that go into the details of how to go about accomplishing this kind of thing.
It is obviously a very common thing to do with a Website though.
Even better would be to do it from the perspective of someone who doesn't necessarily need to protect credit card info, but still wants a certain level of control over who can and can not view "certain" pages on the site. Preferrebly using things that come in standard hosting packages like MySql and PHP.
