Hi, I'm writing some software that needs to read in dxf format graphics (version 12). I'm having trouble loading the client's files - there is an offset at work I can't locate. What should be 0,0 in the program isn't - there is quite a large margin of error. When I look at the same file in Autocad, the origin is in the correct place though. I looked at the dxf file as text, and sure enough, the coordinates I'm reading in are as they appear in the file. (To check, I added a circle centred on 0,0 to the file by hand - it had the same offset.)

I have compared dxf spec with the file, and am at a loss to find the offset.

Any ideas? (Please email Brush@qualityeng.co.uk)
