I've been searching for info on how to write mpeg3 (MP3) programs. I prefer to write in C++ using MFC. I've looked on MSDN and have searched the web, but so far - no luck!

Any clues will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hey there. XAudio (www.xaudio.com) has an SDK for various platforms that will play mp3s locally or stream mp3s off the net. Basically, the XAudio DLL that plays the mp3s is free unless you wish to sell your product commercially. Then all small fee is paid (5 US) for each copy that is sold. If there is anyone out there that would like to take on a project together... let me know. (HotSquirrly@hotmail.com) I have a pretty good understanding of the XAudio SDK and VC++ 6.

Just a little bit of info for the MP3 guru.... Napster uses this decoding engine in their popular app.
