Device Driver

hi all,

i am just into device driver programming. i need to know how i will build a .SYS file. when i use
the build utility i get a message as...

examining [file name]
specifies the no: files to compile.. then
BUILD: saving d:\ntddk\build.dat...
BUILD: compiling...
BUILD: linking..
BUILD: Done

but no file is generated. i am new to drivers. so please help out of this problem

I am not a master of device drivers but i am working with device drivers since last one year so i know a little about it.
To have a successful build make it sure that the directory from where u r building ur driver contains makefile and sources files as well as .ini file in case of kernel mode drivers.
exact problem can only be figure out if u provide some more details.

hello,

i need to write a filter driver for a USB device. in fact i tried my level best for that. can you help me? i need to get a Dummy driver (filter driver) sample code. so that i can look into how things are done. presently i have done the project, but it is with an .exe file. i need to make a .SYS file. please help me out.
