Uninstall?

I recently upgraded from several small hard drivers to 2 large ones. In making the switch, I uninstalled visual studio 6, and after the upgrade attempted to re-install. But, now...setup fails, and I cant get everything back. I searched the registry and found many, many references to the old install location.

Has anyone successfully uninstalled VS6 and re-installed in a different location on the same system? If so, can you help? Thanks.
