VC++ Editor problem

Hi

I installed Visual Studio 6.0 and tried to start the editor of VC++ but it shows error "Runtime error occured in MSDEV.exe"."Abnormal Program Termination".

I uninstalled VS6.0 and again installed it. The problem is still there. Though, other tools like VB and Visual Interdev works fine.

It would be nice if anybody can solve my problem.

Do you have any Norton products installed? They have a widely known issue with VC++ - but this occurs in only 1 edition - either Professional or Enterprise. Try the other if you can. Otherwise uninstall or upgrade Norton products.

I don't have any Norton product installed. Moreover, I have VS6.0 Enterprise Edition.

Please help me to solve the problem as it is urgent because I can't practise VC++ until I open VC++ Editor.
