I would like to hear other programmers opinion on XML.
Do you think we soon will find XML-specifications in all document types? The power of the XML-standardisation, is that the document may be independant from the program that made it. Take html... There are hundreds of tools and programs we can use to edit and view html-pages on, but only one (?) program to edit and view .doc files with (MS-Word).
Wouldn't it be a great would to live in, if we had one single document type ?
Could we imagine xml taking over the role of the database, for saving data as well?
