hi !

does anyone know how programs like getright keep track of the exact position of the file that it has successfully downloaded? since it resumes downloads i'm assuming it has a way to track the exact position it has downloaded and resume downloading the file from that position once the download is resumed...
if anyone knows the concept or where info its workings can be located please let me know... it would be of great assistence !

thanks !

I don't know for sure, but I imagine that as long as you know the total byte count (size) for a file, you should be able to pick up where you left off by comparing that with the byte count of what has already been downloaded.
