accounting package

I have a client who wants a completely integrated system with field and office. I can write the field routines (already have most of them) but do not want to reinvent the wheel by doing the accounting portions. Does anyone know of an accounting package that will permit me to access and modify its data files?

There are many accounting packages that use an open database which can be accessed. You'll need to find one that fits the size of the company. There are packages for very small to "enterprise" companies. For a smaller company I would take a look at SBT or MAS90. Let me know if you need addl help/detail.
