Hi all,
I have heard from my friends that Microsoft is gradually withdrawing COM/DCOM from the market because it has been found that DCOM has become slower over the internet when compare to CORBA.Is this true?

The underlying technology in Windows 2000 is COM and MS is getting ready to release an extension to the DCOM spec that allows greater flexability and performance across an internet connection - sound to you like they are abandoning COM/DCOM? :^)
