After reading this, and gaining much from it, I wanted advice on other good books like it.
Can you recommend any other, more recently published books, that educate you on the art of bug-free, quality programming, like McConnell's book does?
I'm looking for books that are dominated mostly by OO, however.
Thanks

Try "Writing Solid Code" by MS Press. I think there is another book "Debugging the software Process" also by MS Press. I also know that some online shop is selling the 3 bks as ONE package. If memory served me well, it was listed for U$100 for the 3 books.

Bookstop had Writing Solid Code and Debugging the Development Process on clearance for about $10 each a month or so ago.

It's been a couple of months since this message was posted. Anyway, the book "Object Oriented Analysis and Design with Applications" by Grady Booch is excellent as far general programming/methodology for OO is concerned.
If you are interested, try the following:
1. PeopleWare (I forgot the author!)
2. Debugging the Development process by Steve Maguire

Peopleware is by Tom DeMarco & Timothy Lister. It is subtitled Productive Projects and Teams. It is published by Dorset House Publishing Co. and is ISBN 0-932633-05-6. This is a good book on the commitment to qualify as an objective.

Have a look at my web site's book review section. I have details of quite a few books that fit the bill if you're looking for something in the same vein as code complete. http://www.jetbyte.com/Books/top-10.htm
