Distributing of comctl32.dll

I want to distribute my programm, but the programm needs the comctl32.dll. Can I freely distribute this dll with my programm or could be there a copyright problem with microsoft?

How can I distribute this dll?

You must distribute the version of Internet Explorer (yes, the whole browser install!) that implements the COMCTL32.DLL that you're using. You cannot distribute the DLL alone.

This is spelled out in the redistribution license.

There is actually 401comupd.exe downloadable from MS that updates the common ctrl dll. You will have to read the license agreement with it.
