I have a moderate familiarity with Visual studio 6 (vb,vc). Bearing this in mind do you have any recommendations regarding books to jump start my familiarity with VS 7? From what I have seen so far it does appear very differnt from the last incarnation.

Hello,
If you are a german citizen I recommend you to search at www.amazon.de in the section 'Bücher' with the searchin Word '.NET'. There you can find a few interesting results concerning c-Sharp, and Visual Studion .NET.

Hopefully this helps

I now this is a VC++.NET forum, but:

If you want to work with C# I would suggest Begging C# bt Karli Watson. I'm only on chapter 5... but so far I really like this book. The first part explained a lot of the .NET stuff I was confused about. I did skip ahead to chapter 17 which on Deploying Windows Application and I think that part would be the same (or very similar) for any of the .NET lanuages.
