I found a problem trying to install Visual Studio.Net which I managed to overcome, but I'm sure I can't be the only one who will experience it.

As you may know when you attempt to install Visual Studio.Net it firstly asks you to install from the Component Update CD. One of the items which it tries to install is a security update to Frontpage Server Extensions, which was addressed in MS Knowledge Base - Q274294. The installation component for this fix is Q274294_W2K_SP2_x86_en.EXE. I had previously installed Windows 2000 service Pack 2. Therefore the attempt install this fix fails as it can only be applied to a system patched with service pack 1. The installer flags this fail and refuses to continue with the installation. The only way to overcome this is to run the setup.exe from inside the setup sub directory rather than from the root directory of the first CD.
