.Net killed my Office installation. I can't do anything in Word; it just quits to the desktop. I am restoring from a known-good image and installing .net, so I know this is the problem. What a pile of #*(%&#$

You didn't read the documentation did you? .NET is currently a true beta and there are many known issues between it and other software packages. There is a REASON that MS said to only install it on a clean machine that is not critical to any work you are doing. I repeat THIS IS ONLY A BETA so don't expect everything to go smoothly.

Everyone should have a seperate machine dedicated to work with .Net Beta ....why Microsoft did not say this.....

it does the same thing with release products. After installing MS Project, Office programs exited when I opened them.
I had to install Project in another directory and now it works.
