I'll be the first to post a problem :)

1. I'm running W2K Server (which is the only supported O/S for .NET)
2. I installed the .NET SDK Framework
3. When I attempt to run the multimedia help/tutorial files from the ASFRoot folder, Windows Media Player comes up and a message plays that I'm not running the correct version of the Windows Media Player.
4. The application then automatically takes me to a page (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/download/wmpup.asp) that states that I need to upgrade my Windows Media Player to the latest version (which it states is 6.4)
5. I click on that link and end up on http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/download/Win32IE4x86.asp which has a link for Windows 98 and "other operating systems" (including Windows 2000).
6. I click on the second link and end up at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/Download/default.asp which states that the latest version of Windows Media Player is version 7
7. No problem. I figure that the first page is simply out of date insofar as its text is concerned. I download and install Windows Media Player 7
8. I reboot and attempt to run the MultiMedia files again. Guess what?! I get the same "You're not running the correct version of Windows Media Player" and it once again throws me back to the "You need 6.4 page" which of course links to the 7.0 page which doens't work!!!
9. I then go back and download 6.4 (even though it states its for W95 and NT 4 and the 7.0 states its for W2K) since version 7 won't work
10. You can guess where this is headed :( The install program states that it won't work on W2K!!

Has anyone got this to work yet?

Cheers,

No, but I have exactly the same problem.
