I have an exe file which people download from my site. Is there any way to count the number of downloads? Many sites link to the exe file directly (not through my pages) so any counter on the page will not work. The server where my pages are doesn't give me any stats. Any help will be appreciated.

what are you using the counter for?
which side? client or server?

common thing people want a timer for is to refresh a page. if this is what you're doing, this works:
&ltmeta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="30">
refreshes your page every 30 seconds

I don't want a timer. I want a count of no of downloads of a particular file on my website. But thanks for the reply anyway.
