any page visitor counter samples ? going to use it in intranet... so there will be no internet access

there's about 15 different ways to accomplish this. check out this site for about 10 of them:

keep in mind, some are much better than others. for example, you dont want to have your counter in a the application object - becuase whenever the service is recycled, the count is lost. store it ina flat file or a database, always. the rest of the good examples talk about how detailed you want your logging to be - by page, by IP address or just by session.
