How to register a component?

I am a newbie! Can anybody tell me how to register a component? And how do you find out if my machine has some component or not? If I have a compoment on one machine, how can make a copy of it and install it in another machine?

I hope by the Word component you mean a DLL module used in you ASP.NET page right ?
If so then you dont have to register it, Yep !!! just copy it in the "/bin" directory of the server and you can use it ... that easy..
