I have developed for myself a help desk database, out of Access 2000 and VB.NET. I am looking for any model of source code to help me use as a base model, for pc hardware and software auditing over a LAN. Or, if anyone can point me to a direction to start. I'm having trouble on where to start such a program to add to my database.

Any imput towards this would be great.

Auditing hardware and software on a PC is (if you want to do it automatically) a bit of a challange! As far as I know there are some components within the .Net framework SDK that could help you read service states and hardware components from the system registry and the SCM, but I wouldn't expect too much of it!
Coming to think of it... Isn't there an API within the Microsoft System Management Server 2.0? Wouldn't this be a way to do this things?

Sorry that I couldn't be more helpfull!
