I have several customers that need to download Microsoft Office documents from my company’s web site. The problem is that when they click on the link, some of them have things set up so that the file opens in their browser. (My customers typically get confused at this point). Is there a way to make a link download only, and not open in the browser?

* Tell you customer to right-click on the link, then use Save target as...

OR

* Compress all documents (ie: using WinZIP) and the link to these ZIP files instead of your DOC files. When your customer click on the link it will prompt for saving the file. He will have to uncompress the file later, of course.
