Can anyone tell me why? THX goddess_spanky May 3rd, 2002, 03:03 PM I think you answered your own question - Netcrap doesn't support activeX the same way that IE does - I believe there is a work-around, but I've never been able to get activeX to work in netcrap. The animated gif should work as long as you enclose everything in quotes like <IMG SRC="Gif1.gif" BORDER="0"> - IE is forgiving when it comes to leaving out quotes but netcrap isn't. maybe that is the problem with the gif? it may also depend on what version of netcrap you are using. ~goddess goddess_spanky@hotmail.com anupam kant May 8th, 2002, 02:16 AM Netscape does not support ActiveX as it is not in any of the w3c spaecification recommandation, instead it uses plug-ins for same purpose. i think plug-ins are available for almost every activeX. Anupam. _Leo_ May 8th, 2002, 03:13 PM MSDN says: Because Netscape Navigator cannot communicate directly with Microsoft® ActiveX® controls, Windows Media Player includes a plug-in (Npdsplay.dll) to allow users of Netscape Navigator to watch Windows Media content. With the help of a proxy applet (Npds.zip), events triggered by the plug-in are visible in Netscape Navigator, and thus can be scripted ---------------------------- _Leo_ http://www.drk.com.ar codeguru.com
