Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Firmware Update Improves Battery Life

The folks at AnandTech installed the update and ran it through their own testing regimen, concluding that the firmware update improves the battery life of the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 by almost 25 percent. They re-ran their battery benchmarks with web browsing and video playback tests, and both showed improved battery performance compared to earlier firmware. On the web browsing test, the tablet battery lasted for 6.65 hours. The firmware update boosted the battery life by almost 25 percent, making it last for almost 8.33 hours.
