Microsoft Back Pedals, Metro is Now Modern UI

Totally blindsided by yet another copyright infringement complaint, the Redmond software giant had to back pedal at a rapid pace and has now completely withdrawn the Metro style brand. A huge waste considering the amount of effort they have put into marketing, what most would consider, the most visible new features in Windows 8, ie, its optimized touchscreen interface.
