Itโ€™s over Johnny! Microsoft and NBC have officially ended it.

NBC announced today that they have re-acquired full ownership of, purchasing the remaining shares of the site from Microsoft.  Currently the new plan is to rebrand the site as while continuing to provide news information to, a Microsoft news portal. For the short term, is going to mirror the home page. The reported cost of this acquisition was $300 million US thus ending the 16 year partnership between Microsoft and Comcast’s NBCUniversal.
